| A 508-meter-tall skyscraper nearing completion in Taiwan’s capital has grabbed the title of world’s tallest building from the 452-m-tall twin Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The realignment also shifts Chicago’s 442-m-tall Sears Tower to third place, with Shanghai’s 421-m-tall Jin Mao Tower in fourth.
