| The U.S. Supreme Court on April 14 said it will hear the electric power industry’s lawsuit against a federal clean-water rule that the industry claims could cost tens of billions of dollars if it is not modified or overturned. The case, known as Riverkeeper II, revolves around an Environmental Protection Agency rule requiring coal and nuclear powerplant operators to retrofit cooling-water intake systems to protect fish and aquatic organisms.
