Description
The General Services Administration has set up an Office of High-Performance Green Buildings to oversee federal facilities’ energy efficiency and sustainable design. The energy bill enacted in December called for the new GSA office and requires new and renovated federal buildings to cut fossil-fuel use to zero by 2030. Kevin Kampschroer, GSA director of expert services, is the office’s acting chief. He has headed GSA’s sustainable-design activities.
