| Description |
| Akron, Ohio, is looking to cash in on growing interest among investors in public infrastructure. City officials are exploring the possible sale or lease of Akron’s sewer and wastewater treatment system to a private entity. Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic (D) says the city would look to capitalize on the emerging trend among municipalities to securitize public assets, pointing to Chicago’s $1.8-billion, 99-year lease of the Chicago Skyway to private investors.
