The AFL-CIO opposes nominees Robert Bat tista, a former NLRB chairman, and Gerard Morales, a partner with an Arizona law firm. But Maurice Bas kin, Associated Builders & Con trac tors general counsel, calls them worthy appointees. He says they and the third nominee, ex-NLRB member Dennis Walsh, should be confirmed.
