| A three-alarm fire ripped through the top floors of the Monte Carlo hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday morning, around 11:00 a.m. local time causing unspecified exterior façade building damage. No injuries are reported. The cause of the fire is not immediately known, although welders had been working atop the roof. The fire, which was largely extinguished by around 12:30 p.m., sent a large plume of black spoke into the air with falling ambers hitting the sidewalk below. The incident caused a building evacuation. It additionally closed traffic on the Strip as well as turnoffs along Interstate-15.
