| The Senate voted to override President Bush's veto of a bill authorizing $23 billion for Army Corps of Engineers water projects across the country. The vote on Nov. 7 was 79-14, well above the two-thirds majority needed to undo a veto, and represents the first of Bush's five vetoes to be rejected by Congress.
