NEW YORK Polshek Partnership is the architectural firm selected by Westchester Community College to design The Gateway Center, a new 70,000-sq-ft facility to prepare foreign-born students for workplace careers. Located on WCC Valhalla campus, the two-story green building will feature instructional space, technology centers, student activity space, an 175-seat auditorium, and conference rooms to serve as resources for outreach and community education. Groundbreaking for the $40.5-million facility is expected in spring 2007 with opening planned for 2009. PENNSYLVANIA Advanced Communications Agency Inc. is planning to build a 215,000-sq-ft printing plant on a brownfield industrial site located at Cameron and Herr streets in Harrisburg.
