| Description |
| Construction of a new All-American Canal in Southern California’s Imperial Valley will begin next month, with the award in June of contracts totalling $251 million to Kiewit Pacific Co. and Ames/ CSI. The 23-mile-long concrete-lined canal, set for completion in 2008, will replace an unlined structure plagued by leaks.
