FAA Gives Green Light to Phoenix Sky Harbor Program

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport received Federal approval on April 14 to proceed with a $2-billion airport enhancement program.The program includes a new, 33-gate West Terminal, demolition of Terminal 2, a new automated people mover, realignment of Sky Harbor Blvd. west of Terminal 3 and two new taxiways, and improvements to the Terminal 4 International Concourse. Each project must now be approved by the Phoenix City Council.
