Article Description| The Lower Manhattan Development Corp. selected LVI Services Inc., the New York City-based asbestos abatement and demolition firm, to restart final cleanup and takedown of the last relic of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack at Ground Zero. That Jan. 8 announcement was welcome news to a frustrated city. But it could be at least another year before the troubled Deutsche Bank skyscraper hulk is finally demolished, and project executives are offering few details. The 40-story building, adjacent to the former World Trade Center, sustained damage in the attack and was originally set to come down in 2005 to make way for a Wall Street firm's new tower. |
