Bridges: NTSB Aims To Issue I-35W Report in November

The National Transportation Safety Board staff is planning to have a draft report on last year's Minnesota bridge collapse ready for a Nov. 13 NTSB board meeting. In an Aug. 29 statement, the board said, “Although analytical work is still being completed and validated, the factual record is substantially complete.” The draft report will include a determination of the I-35W bridge collapse’s probable cause and also contain safety recommendations.

PLANNING:
CALIFORNIA Rainbow Municipal Water District is seeking design services for demolition of the existing 8-million-gallon concrete-lined earthen Pala Mesa Reservoir and also the design for a tank site to take its place.
