Description
Miami-Dade County commissioners reacted quickly after the March 15 crane collapse in New York City, passing strict rules for crane erection and inspection. The subject struck home again suddenly on March 25 when a section of crane apparently disengaged during a lift on a 39-story Miami high-rise condominium project and fell on the roof of a single-story building being used as a field office by project workers. Two people were killed and four injured.
