Format: HTML

Description:
Forty years after electing Ted Stevens to the U.S. Senate, Alaskans can point to many infrastructure projects in the state thanks to billions in federal dollars he helped bring home. But with Stevens pleading not guilty on July 31 to federal conspiracy, bribery and other charges related to accepting undisclosed gifts from a state energy contractor, some observers worry how state infrastructure will fare if he is forced to leave his Senate perch.
