Crews Are Scrambling To Fix Power After Ike - ENR | McGraw-Hill Construction

Publication Date: 17-SEP-08

Description:
Power companies are working around the clock to restore electricity in areas darkened by Sept. 13’s Category 2 Hurricane Ike. Officials stress “it is not time to go home” to the hardest-hit areas of southeast Texas, among them Galveston, even if floodwaters have receded and roads are cleared of debris. By Sept. 16, more than four million customers were still without power in Texas and as far away as Ohio.
