Description:
The architect and structural engineer for Russia’s 396-meter-tall Gazprom headquarters in St. Petersburg are pressing on with design despite local reports that the project may be postponed. The tower is conceived as the centerpiece of the $2.2-billion, 72-hectare Okhta Centre development. The city, providing roughly half the funding, is reportedly planning to divert some cash to other projects. “We haven’t heard anything,” says a spokeswoman for the project’s architect, RMJM Ltd., Edinburgh, U.K.
