Description: Tetra Tech Inc. demoted its president, claiming discrepancies in his education, the company reported in an Oct. 3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Sam W. Box, 62, president since 2004, becomes vice president of risk management at the Pasadena, Calif., engineer, ranked eighth on ENR’s list of Top 500 Design Firms. The filing says Box’s “40 years of industry experience in managing large fixed-price programs make him especially qualified for this position.” Tetra Tech took the step after an outside group questioned whether Box had earned a civil engineering degree as noted on company documents.
