Robert Moultrie, 67, the embattled founder and chairman of The Facility Group, a Smyrna, Ga., building contractor, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to federal charges of illegal campaign contributions, resigned from the firm on Aug. 28. The firm's interim CEO will choose a successor. Moultrie resigned as CEO last March in the wake of the scandal, in which he admitted to making campaign donations in 2003 to former Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove (R) related to the contractor's role in constructing a controversial meatpacking plant in the state.
