| The rollout of standard contract documents for fully integrated project delivery from the American Institute of Architects was met with much skepticism at the AIA Convention, held May 13-15 in Boston. Designers voiced concerns about liability and insurance implications of the delivery system, which joins the owner, architect and construction manager in a single entity. They also are worried about the manner of compensation, which pays costs but bases profit on the success of the entire project—a team sink-or-swim situation.
