In what came as a surprise to many and a relief to some, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc. is “reconstituting” its two-year-old committee developing the nation’s first green-building standard. The move will delay publication of the “Standard for the Design Of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings” beyond the original year-end target date.
