London Olympic Site Clears Another Hurdle

Text size: A A

The 3,000-tonne framework of the wave-shaped roof over the London 2010 Olympics Games’s Aquatics Centre has been lowered onto its final bearings. Lead contractor Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd. is due to complete the center, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, next year.
