Over the past five years enr’s top 200 Environmental Firms were on a roll, increasing their total revenue annually to more than $52 billion for work done in 2008. But results for 2009 could not withstand the ravages of recession, with total revenue sliding 8.2%. Many Top 200 participants, however, are optimistic that recent events will keep environmental priorities front and center and generate opportunities that lead to an upturn.
